Tai Chi Ch'uan / Chi Gung (Qigong)
(Ages 13 and older)
Stress in our daily lives affects us physically and
mentally. Physicians agree that most illnesses are
caused by mental stress and emotional anxiety.
Tai Chi Ch'uan and Chi Gung (Qigong)
are
Mind / Body health arts developed in China that are
excellent for stress management, rehabilitation of your
body, and improving your Quality of Life.
You
will learn how to correctly breathe and relax, reduce
tension, and improve your
posture, balance, flexibility, coordination and focus.
These are gentle, non-impact Internal Arts based on proper
body structure and alignment, complete relaxation and how to allow your
mind and body to work harmoniously so that you may move
“effortlessly”.

(Qigong) Introductory Special
(ages 13 and older)
Because of the soft, flowing movements, Tai Chi is
practiced daily by people of all ages; including
individuals well into their 80’s.
Among the many benefits of these arts include: better
circulation, balanced blood pressure, gentle
rehabilitation of knee, spine, and shoulder, helping to
break the chronic pain cycle, boosting of the immune
system, and increased energy.
Although our Tai Chi
Curriculum does include learning the traditional Yang
style Long Form, practicing various Chi Gung (Qigong)
Sets, and applying Tai Chi principles and skills in
two-person drills (push hands) - the goals of the Tai
Chi Program include:
- To learn how to relax
and better manage stress.
- To learn how to
efficiently, and powerfully, move our body.
- To improve the Mind /
Body Connection and be "in the moment."
- To develop
correct internal structure, alignment, and optimized energetics.
- To apply Tai Chi in
our daily life so that we can do more with less effort.
